La chanteuse Amanzi vient de sortir Invitation, son nouveau single qui annonce l’arrivée de son premier album The Village prévu pour novembre. Après l’excellent Go Where You’re Wanted, ce titre confirme la force d’une artiste qui mélange avec grâce soul, jazz, gospel et pop moderne, portée par une voix magnétique et des arrangements subtils aux cuivres et à la flûte, car oui la flute, c’est toujours classe dans n’importe qu’elle morceau.
Invitation : une chanson entre légèreté et profondeur
Sous ses airs de morceau festif, Invitation est en réalité une réflexion intime sur l’envie de sortir, de dire “oui”, mais aussi sur les hésitations et les cicatrices du passé. Amanzi y évoque son histoire avec l’addiction et la complexité des choix qui rythment la vie sociale. Oui, ça peut paraitre un peu bateau mais le morceau est bon et puis 90% des morceaux sont sur l’amour, non ?
Résultat : un titre groovy, percussif et lumineux, où la profondeur du texte se marie à une énergie irrésistible.
Une artiste à suivre de près
Née à Brighton, mais nourrie de ses racines sud-africaines, Amanzi revendique l’héritage d’icônes comme Nina Simone. Sa musique puise autant dans la soul et le blues que dans le gospel et le jazz, avec une écriture intime, parfois douloureuse, mais toujours tournée vers la résilience.
