King Hannah nous revient avec cette magnifique reprise de Madonna
On avait découvert King Hannah l’année dernière avec l’album « I’m Not Sorry, I Was Just Being Me » que beaucoup ont considéré comme l’un des meilleurs albums de 2022. J’avais même osé la comparaison en indiquant que le duo était les dignes successeurs de Portishead. Si vous ne l’avez pas écouté, c’est disponible sur bandcamp, je vous le recommande.
Un « like a prayer » beau et flippant
Aujourd’hui, les Liverpuldiens ont voulu se rappeler à notre bon souvenir en publiant cette magnifique reprise de Madonna, le titre culte « Like a Prayer ». L’ambiance est inquiétante, industrielle. On croirait que des corbeaux vont sortir de notre haut-parleur. La voix d’Hannah Merrick fait merveille dans cet arrangement délicat qui monte petit à petit pour exploser dans le dernier tiers. Je trouve ça magnifique.
