Take me to the place
Where the wild cherries grow
Don’t know what’s in the air
What’s lurking down below

Read me all the lines
From that story in your eyes
Somebody told me why
You never said goodbye

Won’t you let me stay
On this warm summer day
I’d like to take it slow
But there’s nowhere left to go
So make up your mind and never look behind

Paint me a scene
Where the sky is filled with smoke
The tickle of your brush
I love the strokes

I don’t wanna know
How the future will unfold
The lessons we won’t learn
Sit back and watch it burn

Won’t you let me stay
On this warm summer day
I’d like to take it slow
But there’s nowhere left to go
So make up your mind and never look behind

Won’t you let me stay
On this warm summer day
I’d like to take it slow
But there’s nowhere left to go

Won’t you let me stay
On this warm summer day
I’d like to take it slow
But there’s nowhere left to go
So make up your mind and never look behind

Take me back to that day
When you promised we’d be okay
I’d really like to know
Was it real or just for show
So make up your mind and never look behind
