Algiers nous annonce un nouvel album et nous envoie un nouveau single, Dispossession,
Le nouvel album d’Algiers se nomme There Is No Year et sortira en début d’année prochaine (le 17 je crois) chez matador. Le groupe de punk soul américain nous offre donc Dispossession histoire de nous mettre l’eau à la bouche. Et c’est bien évidemment réussi.
Il y a une puissance vindicative, c’est toujours très présent chez eux comme le montre par exemple cette session live. Chaque note ou presque nous donne envie de prendre les barricades. Et pourtant, les notes sont moins punk, presque uniquement soul avec des choeurs grandiloquent. Ca m’a touché direct en plein coeur. Pas vous ?
Ah et si l’endroit du clip te dit quelques choses, c’est parce qu’Algiers l’a été tourné à Noisy le Grand.
