On court après le bonheur avec Trim Reaper et Pursuit of happiness
Trim Reaper, le bonheur est définitivement disco punk
Le duo disco punk de Brisbane, Trim Reaper, nous offre une version 2024 du classique duo entre Kid Cudi et MGMT “Pursuit of Happiness”. Après leur dernier titre “Release Love”, Trim Reaper propose une reprise énergique qui transforme l’ambiance sombre de l’original en un joyau distordu et un fou, avec une interprétation vocale qui s’accorde parfaitement. Le duo a repris ce titre culte dans l’espoir de trouver, je cite « ce juste équilibre entre nostalgie, pertinence, accroche et des paroles qui correspondent à ce que nous exprimons avec Trim Reaper en tant que projet. »
C’est un peu comme si LCD Soundsystem avait rencontré MGMT et c’est plutot un bon mix en termes de créativité. Ca m’a fait découvrir le groupe et j’avoue que j’aime beaucoup.
