Qui sont ces hooligans du son ?
Free Zorba The Hooligan (j’adore ce nom), c’est cinq musiciens pas sortis de nulle part : Niko May au chant, Edd Paul à la basse, Tom Taddei-Davies à la batterie, et Alex Cachia et Yo Badorc aux guitares. Avant de se réunir en 2024, ils avaient déjà traîné leurs amplis sur des scènes comme SXSW, Pitchfork, Wide Awake ou le Bataclan. Leur credo ? Faire du bruit, mais pas n’importe comment : du bruit qui frappe juste, entre puissance brute et précision chirurgicale.
L’approche est frontale, mais jamais gratuite : chaque texture, chaque structure est travaillée pour maximiser l’impact. C’est brut, c’est dense.
