IDLES sort « Rabbit Run » pour Darren Aronofsky
Composé pour le prochain film de Darren Aronofsky, « Caught Stealing« , le morceau suinte la tension cinématographique. Mais IDLES ne fait pas de l’illustration sonore, ils transforment la BO en exutoire. Le rythme n’est pas rapide, mais tu sens quand même l’urgence. Il y a Joe Talbot qui chante, mi-hurlé mi-chuchoté, comme une voix dans ta tête qui t’ordonne de courir plus vite. Tu n’en sors pas détendu. Tu en sors tendu, les poings serrés, les yeux grands ouverts. C’est presque flippant en fait.
Et là où TANGK s’était ouvert à la lumière, au groove, ici c’est le retour du rugueux, du primal, du brut. Une basse grondante, un beat sec, presque kraut, et au-dessus : la voix qui claque comme un ordre militaire dans un micro trop saturé.
