Little Simz va balancer un nouvel album, Lotus, prévu pour le 9 mai via AWAL Recordings. Et comme un bon teaser, elle envoie “Flood”, un morceau puissant accompagné d’un clip tout aussi percutant. Tu peux l’écouter juste en dessous.
Lotus, un sixième album sous le signe du renouveau
Ce sera déjà son sixième album, succédant à l’excellent NO THANK YOU sorti en 2022 (le fameux point and kill avec Inflo à la prod). Lotus, sera le symbole du renouveau (me demandez pas pourquoi), de l’évolution, un reflet de son art en constante mutation. Une traversée des turbulences de la vie, selon le communiqué officiel.
“Flood” est une petite gifle musicale sombre, avec la prod lechée de Miles Clinton James et enrichie par les vibes d’Obongjayar et de Moonchild Sanelly. Simz murmure, Simz cogne, Simz balance une pluie de punchlines.
