Brigitte Calls Me Baby a partagé son nouveau single « I Danced With Another Love in My Dream », extrait de leur prochain album Irreversible, qui sortira le 13 mars via ATO Records. Mais comme je préfère le titre d’avant « Slumber Party », on va parler de celui-ci.

Brigitte Calls Me Baby, c’est un groupe de Chicago qui nous envoie un rock très 80’s porté par le romantisme et le charme de la voix new wave de son chanteur Wes Leavins. Une voix clair qui donne immédiatement cette couleur dramatique et élégante aux morceaux. On pense à la new wave britannique, aux slows qu’on danse les yeux fermés et au costard trop grand (d’ailleurs pourquoi ?).
Mais ce n’est pas que ça, Ils font des titres presque new wave que j’aime moins mais quand c’est rock comme ce « Slumber Party », c’est vraiment excellent. Quelques riffs assez classe, on dirait un mélange de two door cinéma club avec de la new wave produite dans les années 80 et un crooner. Qu’en dites vous ?
