Tame Impala vient de dévoiler son nouveau single Dracula, et bonne nouvelle : Kevin Parker semble retrouver un peu de la magie qui avait manqué à ses dernières sorties parce que c’était tellement pas à mon gout que je ne vous ne l’ai même pas partagé (pour être poli et bienveillant). On retrouve ici des idées musicales fraîches, portées par un petit groove electro-disco dansant, des ghost notes funk qui accrochent l’oreille et une ambiance plus immédiate que ses titres précédents.
« Dracula », enfin un single de qualité
Alors, soyons clairs : on n’est pas encore au niveau de Currents. Ce disque reste un sommet indétrônable mais Dracula a ce truc en plus, ce refrain entêtant qui reste collé dans la tête et redonne envie de croire à une nouvelle belle ère pour Tame Impala. Après les expérimentations plus atmosphériques de The Slow Rush, Parker semble vouloir renouer avec une écriture plus rythmée, plus pop, mais toujours travaillée avec soin. Un retour qui fait plaisir et qui pourrait annoncer une suite d’album beaucoup plus excitante que prévu.
L’album s’intitule Deadbeat et est prévu pour le 17 octobre 2025 via Columbia Records.
