Bilk, c’est le son des pavés mouillés, des pintes tièdes et des nerfs à vif. Un trio venu d’Essex qui balance sa hargne entre punk, britpop et cette énergie crue qui te colle à la peau. Pas de pose, pas de faux-semblants, juste des hymnes pour ceux qui errent entre baston et lendemain de cuite.
« Go » une guitare garage qui te colle aux tympans
Avec Go, Bilk met les deux pieds dans la porte et balance une montée d’angoisse en pleine face. Ça commence sur une ligne de guitare tendue comme un élastique prêt à péter, puis la batterie cogne et tout s’effondre. Une boucle infernale où la voix de Sol Abrahams crache ses états d’âme. Musicalement, on retrouve ce qu’ils font de mieux : une tension punk qui flirte avec des mélodies britpop accrocheuses, un son crade, mais jamais bordélique, et surtout cette urgence qui te prend aux tripes.
